The class focuses particularly on the arms: movement is explored through the fingers, hands, elbows, forearms and shoulders, then extends to the torso.
What happens
- The class takes place with music and guidance from the facilitator. It includes free dance, mindful movement, specially designed partner exercises, witnessing and reflection to integrate the experience.
- The dance explores opening and touch, as well as sensitivity in the arms, softness and openness, connection with oneself, the space and others, the ability to give and receive freely, and coordinated movement of the arms, breath, body centre and support.
Who leads it
Yulia is a clinical health psychologist, crisis psychologist, dance/movement therapist and mindful movement teacher.
Good to know
- The class lasts three hours.
- The classes draw on environmental and group psychotherapy methods, take the principles of group dynamics into account, and are held in a safe, professionally facilitated setting.
- Free mindful dance is held almost every Saturday while the facilitator is living in Minsk.
