freedomDANCE is meditation in motion, set to a wave-shaped music set with verbal guidance. Free, intuitive movement helps participants relax, reset and release fatigue.

What happens

  • On Wednesday, a dance meditation class focused on replenishing energy takes place. Participants are invited to make time and space for themselves and let go of fatigue through movement.
  • The practice takes place in a non-judgmental space. Participants can rest, reset, lie down and release some of their accumulated emotions through movement.

Who it suits

No dance experience is needed. Participants can come tired and in any state.

Who leads it

The practice is led by Lelya Timovets, a certified conscious movement teacher and experienced, trusted guide.

What to bring

Light, comfortable clothing is recommended; the practice is done barefoot.

Good to know

The music set follows a wave-shaped arc; movement is mindful and intuitive.

How to sign up

Registration by direct message is required to take part.

More from the organizer

  • In Belarus, the organizer notes that people often have little motivation and energy to spare; after work, sometimes all they have the energy for is a shower and bed. A small group currently attends the practice, and the organizer hopes that as the community grows, its collective call will become louder and stronger. The community creates a supportive field of energy. The organizer describes getting to the dance floor and building a habit as a personal effort on the participant’s part.
  • The organizer raises questions about how to cope with the intensity of city life and everyday demands.
