Body Flow helps participants tune in to dance through fluid movement, attention to bodily sensations, and breath.
What happens
- The session begins with Body Flow, a practice that helps release areas of tension, connect with vulnerability and strength, and move into dance with a sense of freedom, spaciousness, and presence. Participants are invited to begin moving from bodily sensation.
- After Body Flow, Igor leads an ecstatic dance set. There are no rehearsed moves and no need to try to dance beautifully. The music moves through different emotions, while movement expresses each participant’s state.
- Ecstatic dance has no rules or judgments: the music ranges from quiet and meditative to lively and wild.
Who it suits
The practice is suitable regardless of dance experience.
Who leads it
Body Flow is led by Sabina Morozova, a somatic practitioner with 14 years of experience teaching yoga and dance-and-movement disciplines and exploring the body’s capabilities. She creates a space to restore one’s energy and help the body return to its natural mechanics of movement.
