This class combines the static postures and breathing techniques of Hatha yoga with dynamic, controlled Pilates exercises. You’ll work on flexibility, balance, coordination, and strengthening your muscles.
What happens
- In the Hatha yoga portion, you’ll practise static postures and pranayama, working on flexibility, balance, and coordination. This portion also includes inner relaxation; the stated areas of focus in the yoga practice are spinal decompression, opening the joints, and stabilising the nervous system.
- The Pilates portion features dynamic, controlled exercises for the deep stabilising muscles of the core, pelvic floor, and back. The focus is on precise movement, a neutral spine, and improving posture.
Who leads it
The class is led by Anna Korshikova.
