You’ll trace how tea processing and brewing methods have changed over time, and how ancient traditions gave rise to the modern Gongfu Cha ceremony.
What happens
- You’ll learn about the stages in the development of tea culture in China and tea’s influence on the country’s social life.
- The lecture will also explore how Gongfu Cha became a symbol of hospitality, meditation and China’s cultural heritage.
Who leads it
The lecture is led by Alyona Velichko. She has studied tea culture for more than 20 years and trained with experts from Russia, China, Turkey, Korea, Vietnam, Georgia and India. Alyona Velichko is the only certified tea taster and judge at international tea championships.
