The sound of a Tibetan singing bowl will alternate with silence, while you focus your attention on sound, your body and your breath. The gathering also includes nail standing and work with resource-oriented metaphorical cards.

What happens

  • At the beginning, you’ll introduce yourselves by sharing your name and a word describing how you feel, then set an intention as an act of self-care. The breathing exercise will take 5–7 minutes: you’ll breathe into your belly and lengthen your exhale. You could choose “tiredness” or “curiosity” as your word, and “take a pause” or “hear the quiet voice within” as your intention.
  • After the meditation, there will be a tea break with drinks, refreshments and informal conversation, giving you time to prepare for the body practice.
  • Before standing on nails, you’ll learn about the physiology of the practice and its contraindications, warm up your feet and breathe. Participants will step onto the nail boards one at a time, with an assistant. The practice will be followed by stepping down and grounding: walking barefoot and rubbing your feet.
  • Next, you’ll work with one or two resource-oriented metaphorical cards, following the steps “image → associations → resource”. There are no right interpretations of the cards; the facilitator will ask gentle questions.
  • To finish, there will be an exercise called “Three Points of Support”.

Good to know

  • For 24 hours after the gathering, it’s recommended that you treat yourself gently: pay attention to sleep and hydration, and keep overload to a minimum.
  • Contraindications for sound practices include the acute phase of an illness, epilepsy and having a pacemaker.
  • Places are limited: 9.

How to sign up

Advance payment is required to book.

More from the organizer

  • Comfortable, loose-fitting clothes that don’t restrict movement are suitable for taking part.
  • The gathering aims to offer a gentle inward journey through sound and breath, and a bodily experience of support. The intention is for each participant to leave with one insight and a sense of being supported.
