You’ll turn your observations of people into stage characters and short sketches. Details of people’s behaviour, gestures, facial expressions and habits will come in handy.
What happens
- You’ll work on your powers of observation and memory, noticing and remembering people’s behavioural traits, gestures, facial expressions and habits.
- You’ll exercise your imagination and creative thinking by coming up with unusual situations and finding unconventional solutions.
- You’ll explore how to create convincing characters through movement, voice and distinctive details.
- You’ll try turning your observations into short stage sketches.
Who it suits
You’re welcome to join with no experience, or if you already study acting or improvisation.
Who leads it
The training is led by Pavel Savinov, a theatre and film actor and graduate of the M. S. Shchepkin Higher Theatre School. For more than 7 years, he worked at the Odesa Russian Drama Theatre named after A. Ivanov, and also performed at the Odesa Youth Theatre and the Na Chaynoy Theatre. He has dozens of theatre roles to his name, as well as work in films and TV series. In his masterclasses, Pavel draws on his practical stage experience and helps actors develop expressiveness, focus, responsiveness and freedom when working with a scene partner.
