This mini-course explores movement mechanics and common mistakes to improve the quality of bachata dancing. Three themed sessions focus on the arms, hips and body movement.
What happens
- “Graceful Arms” — participants work on clear lines and learn to connect arm movements with body movement.
- “Sultry Hips” — the mechanics of hip sways are explored to give the hips bachata’s characteristic allure, without unnecessary bouncing or tension.
- “Fluid Body Movement” — participants work on smooth transitions between movements.
- Each class covers movement mechanics, addresses common mistakes and focuses on improving the quality of execution.
Who it suits
The course is for people who have been dancing bachata for at least six months; there is no upper limit on experience.
